Sub-Dividing Supply Abolishment

Ryan was sub-dividing his block of land in two. We were recommended by the electrician Ryan had used previously because of the depth of experience in dealing with Energex forms including ‘supply abolishments’, point of attachment relocations and metering (known as EWRs – electrical work requests).

The original power was spanning the two blocks (which is unacceptable from an Energex point of view). We installed a new property pole and meter board and swapped the power form the old point of supply to the new connection within the same morning. The new 35 meters of underground power was dug and re-energized without disruption to the house. Once the council approvals were complete, Ryan rang to install an additional 60 meters of power to the granny flat, to be separately metered by Energex (in addition to the hot water tariff and NBN National Broadband Network prevision). We then went on to wire the new construction of Ryans granny flat and was completed the following week.

Project Description

Ryan was sub-dividing his block of land in two. We were recommended by the electrician Ryan had used previously because of the depth of experience in dealing with Energex and our extensive knowledge with the Queensland electricity metering manual and associated forms including;

  • Supply abolishments
  • Point of attachment relocations and
  • EWRs – electrical work requests

The original power was spanning the two blocks (which is unacceptable from an Energex point of view). We installed a new property pole and meter board and swapped the power form the old point of supply to the new connection within the same morning. The new 35 meters of underground power was dug and re-energized without disruption to the house. Once the council approvals were complete, Ryan rang to install an additional 60 meters of power to the granny flat, to be separately metered by Energex (in addition to the hot water tariff and BNB prevision). This was completed the following week.
